Birthday parties, baptisms and more!!

We've been busy the past few weeks...birthday parties, baptisms, soccer games, etc.

We had a great time celebrating Ryan's 6th birthday with the family. We started the morning by participating in the D105 Dash and then enjoying some brunch (and mimosas)!

We tried...

Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Matt and I were honored that Erik & Carrie asked us to be Miles' Godparents.  We all made the trip to Fairbury to celebrate and enjoyed our snuggle time with Miles.

Everyone is looking!!

We've been busy on Saturdays with soccer games.  Ryan has been playing really well and is always running around like crazy.  He has even scored a few goals!!

The Big 6!!

Ryan/Ry/Ry-Ry/Roo Boss (and more recently Mr. Excitement/Sandman)-

We tell you this all the time, but it's always good to remind us....

First and foremost, you are a GREAT kid with a HUGE heart.

A positive role model for Connor and Quinn.

Always ready for a trip to the zoo

Curious and adventourous

What a non-stop trip your first six years have been.  From the moment you were born, you have been our ball of continuous energy.  Please don't ever change.....although we want you to know it's okay to rest every once and a while.  But we know you won't.....and that's okay.

We love you, bud.

Go Red Sox!

Ryan started off his baseball career by joining the Red Sox...t-ball team that is.  Not surprisingly, he is really enjoying it and is sad when the games are over.

Easter Celebrations

We had a great Easter celebrating with our families.  We spent Saturday in Hollowayville enjoying the beautiful weather and having an outdoor Easter egg hunt.  On Sunday, we had another egg hunt, went to the Shedd and then had a comfy pants, Chinese food Easter dinner at Eders.  What a weekend!!

What time is it?

What time is it?  It's Bubble Guppy birthday time...or at least it was about a month ago.  Connor had a great time at his party and loved playing with all his cousins.

For Connor's birthday, we spent the night in Lombard at the Embassy Suites.  The Eders joined us for some pool time and the kids had fun swimming and soaking in the hot tub.

Happy birthday Connor!

Dear Connor-

Today you are three.  It seems like only a minute ago that we were bringing you home.  In fact, your welcome home sign still hangs on the garage door.  You are such a special little boy.  I know all parents say that but there is just something about your little face that makes people smile.  You are such a gentle guy....always quick with a hug and a kiss.  You adore your brother and spend most of your time trying to keep up with him.  You are currently obsessed with animals and have a huge collection of them that you play with constantly.  Your imagination astounds me and I love to just listen to you play.  You are a great big brother to Quinn.  She loves when you "read" to her.  You've started saying "No thank you Quinn" when she does something you don't like. Your favorites foods right now are cereal, yogurt and cereal bars.  In fact, much to your brother's dismay, you wanted a cereal bar as your birthday treat.  You are a daddy's boy...nothing makes you happier than when Dad comes home from work and you love snuggling with Mom and Dad.  Connor, thanks for making the past three years so special.  We love you to the moon and back!

Love,
Mom & Dad

The Spirit of the Super Bowl

In the spirit of Sand/Eder comfy pants Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, we started a new tradition...comfy pants pre-Super Bowl.  It's obvious the coordinators of the Super Bowl do not have young children or jobs that require them to be at work on Mondays.  If they did, the Super Bowl would be on a Saturday at about 3 pm.  Because of our issues with bedtimes and work, we decided to do a pre-Super Bowl party (kind of like a pre-Grammy party but much louder).  Everyone embraced the comfy pants and the kids had a great (and very loud) time.
