Inaugural Suburban Summer

It has been a month of firsts for Ryan.  He attended his first Pet Parade in La Grange, got fitted for his first tux and got his own slide.  Can't wait to see what the rest of summer brings!!

2nd Birthday Celebration

I asked Ryan what he wanted to do on his birthday and he said "outside".  So we went to the zoo.  Ryan's favorite part was watching the ducks swim in the pond and the monkeys swing through the trees.  Ryan has been obsessed with trains lately so we went to eat at All Aboard Diner for dinner.  The food is brought to you by a train which Ryan thought was pretty cool.

Later that week, we celebrated Ryan's big day with our families in La Grange.  It was so nice to be able to have the party at our house...and have room for everyone.  It was about 100 degrees but Ryan and Kate managed to have fun anyway playing with the water table.  Everyone gave Ryan such great gifts he could not decide what to play with first.  All in all, I think Ryan really enjoyed his birthday!!
