Christmas 2014

What a few days!! Our Christmas celebration started off on Christmas Eve with some ear tubes for Connor.  He did great and was back to his old self by that afternoon.  Ryan wasn't feeling 100% either and ended up at the doctor with strep throat.  Luckily, everyone was in pretty good spirits despite their illnesses.

We spent Christmas morning in La Grange and enjoyed opening presents at our own house.  Ryan was super excited about the presents but Connor was more interested in the toy he received the day earlier.  I think Ryan ended up opening almost all the gifts including Quinn's as she slept through the opening.  Highlights were Patriots and Bears helmets and football guys.

After we opened gifts, we headed to Dwight to celebrate with the Sand family.  Both Kate & Ryan had strep but still managed to have a great time opening presents and trying out Santa beards.  The weather was beautiful for December so we even managed some outside time.

After Dwight, we headed to Hollowayville for the Golden Christmas as well as my cousin's baby shower.  Again, we had a great time enjoying each others company as well as playing some Game of Things.

Overall, we had a great Christmas and are thankful for our family and friends.  Thanks for everything and Merry Christmas!!

More Christmas Fun

This weekend Ryan had his holiday program at Kensington.  He did a great job and even gave Santa a hug.  Later we headed to the Oak Brook Santa experience at the mall which was pretty cool.  The kids liked designing their sleigh and taking a "trip" to the North Pole.  No one was especially excited to meet Santa (no surprise there)!!

To the North Pole we go...

On Saturday, we headed to the North Pole (otherwise known as Naperville) to visit Santa.  The highlights of the trip were the train ride from La Grange, the munchkins and the bells they handed out.  Thankfully, the bells were "accidentally" left on the train.  As you'll notice from the pictures, Santa is missing in action.  Connor burst in to tears when he got within 3 feet of the big guy and Ryan just yelled to Santa that he wanted a Patriots helmet.

Excited to go through his favorite town of Hinsdale (no idea where he got that from)

Peaceful traveler

Lately, the way to Connor's heart is through graham crackers.  The crackers must be broken in two halves.  He then proceeds to carry them around the house.  Half the time, he doesn't even eat them.  I find crackers randomly around the house all day long.

It's been a hectic few weeks. We had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for Christmas.
