8 months old!

Quinn turned 8 months old last week.  She is getting so big...it's hard to believe.  She's working on crawling (army crawling at the moment), eating some solids and teething.   She's a great addition to the Sand family!!

Birthday Weekend

Ryan was a lucky kid and got to celebrate his birthday the entire long weekend!  On Friday, we headed to the waterpark with the Eders.  After a fun night and day at the pool, we headed home for a birthday dinner and ice cream.  Sunday we hosted a Star Wars Rebels themed birthday part for the family.  We finished the weekend with a Memorial Day celebration with some friends.  Whew...I'm tired just from thinking about it all!!

Preschool Graduation

A few weeks ago Ryan had his preschool graduation as well as a starring role in his classroom's version of The Wizard of Oz.  His big role...the tornado!!

The tornadoes hard at work!

Dear Ryan...

Dear Ryan-

Today you turned five years old.  I've spent most of the day trying not to dwell on that fact because I know I will burst in to tears.  It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and clueless about what to do.  Luckily, we all figured it out together and the past five years have just flown by.

We are so proud of you and the little man you are becoming.  You are a great big brother.  You treat Quinn like she is the best thing in the world.  You let Connor tag along (most of the time) and we know you will always be his #1 supporter.

Ryan, you are the biggest sports fan.  You would much rather be playing baseball, soccer, basketball and golf than doing almost anything else.  You even want to watch sports on TV...I don't know many five year olds who would choose to watch the English Premier League soccer games at 7 am over the Disney channel.

You are still a guy's guy and would follow your Dad to the end of the earth.  You love nothing more than golfing with Dad or just playing downstairs in the basement.  Watching you two together always reminds me what a great guy I married.  When you and Dad aren't too busy playing, you are always up for a trip to Target or snuggling on the couch with me.  We are so lucky to be your parents and thank you for teaching us what life is really about it.

We love you to the moon & back!

Love,
Mom & Dad

Waiting on summer...

We've been (somewhat) patiently waiting for summer.  The last few days have been great and we've been able to be outside.  However, the last few weeks have been spent mostly inside waiting for the cold and rain to pass.  We've spent a lot of time downstairs playing sports, running around and practicing sitting up.

Ryan's outfit of choice...way too big Bulls shirt with a way too small Joakim Noah jersey over it

Pillow protection

Two big accomplishments for Connor...no booster seat and eating cereal!!
