New Uncle

Not only will Ryan soon be getting a new aunt, he will also be getting a new uncle.  My sister Gina's boyfriend Jesus proposed to her last night in St. Louis and she said yes.  We are so happy for them and excited to have two weddings to look forward to.  

Matt starts his new job tomorrow and Ryan and I are sad to see him go back to work.  We've had a great time with him home the past two weeks.  

Off to the Doctor

Ryan had his two month appointment on Thursday (technically his 10 week appointment).  He weighed 13.5 pounds (90th percentile!!!) and was 23 1/2 inches long (50th percentile).  He also got his first round of shots which was more painful for his parents than for him.  

July Fun

July was a busy month for Ryan.  Last weekend, we went to Hollowayville to celebrate his Aunt Kaylee's graduation from 8th grade.  While there, Ryan met his second cousin Mia who was born July 13th.  Ryan also took his first dip in the swimming pool.  Then we spent two days in Galena with the Sand family.  Ryan had his first out of state experience when we visited the Field of Dreams in Iowa.  He was so good with all the driving...we could not have been happier.

Kaylee, at 14 years old, is the same age I was when she was born.  She is a great aunt to Ryan!

2 Months Old

It's hard for us to believe but Ryan is two months old today. Time has flown by and we are thankful everyday for an amazing son!!

Scooters

This weekend, Ryan made his first trip to Scooter's. 

He was very excited by the trip.

Ryan's also starting to smile at us...usually right before he spits up everywhere.

First Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago, Ryan took part in his first photo session. He did a great job and the pictures turned out amazing.  Katie DeSerf Zeller is the awesome photographer behind the photos.  She is very talented and we were lucky to have her take Ryan's first official photographs.  Here are just a few photos from the session.

Tummy Time

Here is a quick video of Ryan practicing his tummy time.  He is getting better at it every day.  He sometimes just puts his head down as though he is going to take a nap rather than try to lift his head.

New Aunt

Over the weekend, my brother Erik proposed to his girlfriend Carrie and now Ryan will have a new aunt!! We are so happy for both of them and can't wait to officially welcome Carrie into our crazy family!!

Natural Traveler

We have had a very busy couple of weeks.  On Father's Day weekend, Ryan made his first trip to Hollowayville and Stillman Valley.  Last weekend, he made his first trip to Dwight.  He was really good everywhere we took him. He seems like a natural traveler which is good for us!!  We can't believe he is already over a month old!!
